Teacher Appreciation
As some of you know, my full time job is a Preschool teacher. I love my career choice, so much! I love being a teacher to young children. I love how they think I'm cool no matter how insane I am. They play fake guitars at home and pretend to be me. They love me unconditionally. And I LOVE THEM. I love that I can focus on teaching them the macarena for thirty minutes of my day. I love the crazy things that come out of their mouth.
Two funny stories from today.
#1. We were singing down by the bay. I said, have you ever seen a bird? And was looking for a rhyme from anyone who could come up with it. A quick hand shot up in the back after a few students blurted out "WORD!" This kid said, "Have you ever seen a bird, doing a turd... down by the bay" All the teachers started laughing. He got all red and said, I don't know what turd means, I just know that it rhymes.
#2. Also about turds. One of the girls said she had been trying to poop all day, and it wasn't coming out. She said, when she gets home it will come out. "cuz if it doesn't it will plop out of my mouth and my mouth will taste like that"
Oh the joys of being a teacher.
Teachers don't get paid a lot, but their jobs are so important. To love and care for each of your kids.
Today I have a little Teacher Appreciation Gift Guide. I reveiced a gift similar to this one last week and I LOVED it.
All you have to do is buy a plant or a succulent (my fave).
Mine are from home depot.
Put it in a jar.
And then print this off, cut it out and wrap a ribbon around it. Wala!
If you use this printable, then tag me in your pic (@pace_made) and #pacemadefreebie,
I'd love to see how it turned out.
The lettering was hand drawn and the flowers were watercolored.
It's the perfect, personalized gift.
